So as you can see plans are coming together fast and furious. We might even be able to get Grandma and Grandpa to join us for this one. The main reason for Epcot this time though is Flower and Garden festival which we haven’t been to since 2005, so Traci and Susie are super excited about this one. Our day at Epcot however should be even easier as Touring Plans has it as a 3 on their crowd calendar, meaning we shouldn’t have to wait too much. Our day at the Magic Kingdom is supposed to be a 5 according to Touring Plans, but we’ll do what we can to reduce our waits by using the Lines app by Touring Plans, and we should actually get some good use out of it this time. We’re planning to spend two days this time, day one (March 4) will be at the Magic Kingdom and day two (March 6) will be at Epcot. Even more exciting, we’re venturing outside the Magic Kingdom on this trip. That means more days in the parks that we’ll get to relive together. Traci and I have decided to take advantage of two small children and no school commitments yet and are heading to Florida for some fun in the sun. But now the kids are hungry, so let’s see if we can get into the newly opened Be Our Guest Restaurant.Ĭome and join us for another installment of the WDW-Memories podcast, where I try to make it possible for you relive your Walt Disney World Memories when you can't actually be there. We met Daisy, Minnie, Goofy, and Donald all with just a short amount of time. In Memory 113, we got to spend some time taking pictures with some of our favorite Disney characters.
Let’s pick back up with our day in the Magic Kingdom. Almost as good as being in Walt Disney World… almost. Almost a million people come down for it, and this year we had some of the best weather on record with sunny days and temps in the 70’s. Each year at the start of the Derby season they put on an air show all day and finish it off with one of the largest fireworks shows in the country, FOR FREE. We have great things such as The Kentucky Derby, Bourbon, The Louisville Slugger Museum, and College Basketball, but Thunder probably isn’t known to too many folks outside the area. What an awesome weekend! I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of Thunder Over Louisville, but it’s probably in the top 5 things our city is known for, but most people just don’t think of it.
